Asian Trucker Media offers more than just a magazine for the trucking industry. Seminars and events are part of our service offering and this large scale event is testament to our ability to gather industry players to join hands and to showcase the commercial vehicle industry. Organised and managed by Asian Trucker, this exhibition has taken the market by storm.
Previously named Malaysia International Bus, Truck & Components Expo (MIBTC) the event was co-organised by Asian Trucker. It is the only exhibition in Malaysia that caters specifically to the needs of the regional trucking, logistics and bus industries. The event is serving as an exclusive platform that gathers all the best from leading manufacturers, equipment suppliers and service providers. It is the only international-scale business-to-business trade exhibition in Malaysia focusing on the commercial vehicle market and its supporting industries.
MIBTC 2013
The first MIBTC was held at the Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) in Kuala Lumpur on 13 - 15 June 2013 and saw some 8 000 sqm of space used for exhibits.
“The inaugural MIBTC 2013 presented a good opportunity for fellow industry colleagues to come together under one roof and jointly elevate the status of the commercial vehicle industry. I am glad that our current customers, potential customers and other visitors had the chance to see what we all had to offer, especially from the European brands in the industry. For Scania, it was a great opportunity to showcase our continuous improvements in our products and service offerings. Thank you, Asian Trucker, for the job well done.” James Armstrong, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia and Scania Malaysia
“This event, with the kind of scale it has achieved, is a great success as it brings so many different sectors together. This event will grow from strength to strength” said General Manager of Commercial Fleet Asia, Baljit Singh of Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd.
MIBTC 2015
Encouraged by the overwhelming response to the exhibition in 2013, Asian Trucker had decided to host the next MIBTC in 2015. The event took place in MIECC, The Mines, the same location as the first one.
Exhibitors and delegates saw an event that was bigger and even more exciting. The Asian Trucker networking night was back, seeing some 600 delegates and exhibitors flocking to the “Safety First” themed venue to enjoy live performances and good company. Some 40 % more space was added to the exhibition.
